Ladakh is not just a destination; it is an emotion. Often called the "Land of High Passes," this rugged region in the northernmost part of India offers landscapes so surreal they feel otherworldly. With Touch Sky Holidays, prepare to embark on an adventure that takes you above the clouds, through barren brown mountains, turquoise lakes, and ancient monasteries.
Your journey begins in Leh, the heart of Ladakh. As you land, you are greeted by the stark, mesmerizing beauty of the Himalayas. We ensure your trip starts comfortably, giving you ample time to acclimatize to the high altitude—a crucial step for a safe holiday.
With Touch Sky Holidays, you will witness the wonders of nature that defy logic. Marvel at Magnetic Hill, where vehicles seem to move uphill against gravity, and visit the Sangam, the breathtaking confluence where the emerald Indus River meets the muddy Zanskar River. For the thrill-seekers, a drive to Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world, offers the ultimate adrenaline rush and bragging rights.
No trip to Ladakh is complete without visiting Pangong Tso, the lake that became world-famous after the movie 3 Idiots. This high-altitude lake is a natural marvel, changing colors from shades of blue to green and red as the sun moves across the sky.
We also take you deep into the Nubra Valley, a cold desert nestled between the mountains. Here, at the Hunder Sand Dunes, you can enjoy a unique ride on the double-humped Bactrian camels. The valley is also home to the majestic Diskit Monastery, where a giant statue of Maitreya Buddha watches over the valley, offering a sense of profound peace.
Ladakh is a land of deep spirituality. The sound of fluttering prayer flags and the chanting of monks create an atmosphere of tranquility. Our itinerary includes visits to iconic monasteries like Thiksey and Hemis, where you can explore the rich Buddhist heritage and architecture. A sunset visit to the Shanti Stupa offers a panoramic view of Leh city that is truly magical.

The ideal time to visit Ladakh is from May to September. During these months, the weather is pleasant, and the highways (Manali-Leh and Srinagar-Leh) are open for travel. Touch Sky Holidays recommends planning your trip during this window to enjoy the best views of Pangong Lake and Nubra Valley without road blockages due to snow.
Acclimatization is the most important part of a Ladakh trip. Since oxygen levels are lower at high altitudes, we strictly recommend taking complete rest for the first 24 hours upon arrival in Leh. Touch Sky Holidays designs itineraries with a relaxed pace on the first day to ensure your body adjusts safely before we head to higher altitudes like Khardung La.
Please note that prepaid SIM cards issued outside of Ladakh/J&K do not work in the region. Only postpaid connections (BSNL, Airtel, and Jio) function in Leh. BSNL has the widest coverage, working even in some remote areas. We advise carrying a postpaid BSNL or Airtel connection to stay connected.
Ladakh weather can be unpredictable. Even in summer, nights can get chilly, and high passes like Chang La are always cold. We suggest dressing in layers. Pack light woolens for the day and heavy jackets for the night. Don't forget comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, and lip balm, as the sun can be harsh at high altitudes.
Yes, an Inner Line Permit (ILP) is required for domestic and international tourists to visit protected areas like Nubra Valley, Pangong Tso, and Tso Moriri. When you book with Touch Sky Holidays, you don't need to worry about the paperwork—we arrange all necessary permits for you in advance.
Absolutely. Ladakh is a safe and family-friendly destination. However, due to the high altitude, we recommend consulting a doctor before bringing children under 5 or elderly family members with respiratory issues. Touch Sky Holidays provides comfortable, private vehicles and experienced drivers to ensure a smooth and safe journey for your family.
